JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON – Today, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District published its final scoping report summarizing the comments received from the general public and cooperating agencies about the application submitted by the Pebble Limited Partnership.

"The input we received is insightful and helpful informing our analysis and potential alternatives to be included in the draft EIS," said Shane McCoy, program manager for the Alaska District.

The Corps conducted a 90-day public scoping period from April 1 to June 29 with meetings held in Anchorage, Dillingham, Homer, Igiugig, Kokhanok, Naknek, Newhalen, New Stuyahok, and Nondalton. Comments were received in person at these meetings, by mail and electronically through the project website.

The District is committed to an open, transparent, and timely process for the review of this permit application. The project website is updated routinely to ensure timely access to information for the public. The final public scoping report can be accessed at https://www.pebbleprojecteis.com/documents/scoping.
