The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Alaska District has planned a public meeting for June 16 in Fairbanks to discuss the proposed revised regional general permit for placer mining in Alaska.
The meeting is scheduled from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Fairbanks North Star Borough Noel Wien Library Auditorium.
The Corps will be available to take comments and answer questions about proposed reissuance of Mechanical Placer Mining General Permit, POA-2014-55, which can be viewed on this Web link:
