Nathan Hill, Lake & Peninsula Borough, stated the purpose is to construct a new community dock and barge landing ramp in Roadhouse Bay in Iliamna, AK to provide moorage and protection to a range of local vessels serving the Iliamna-Newhalen Community. PROPOSED WORK: The applicant proposes to dredge 69,000 cubic yards (cy), maximum over dredging would consist of 36,000, for a total of 105,000 cy of material from 20 acres within the Roadhouse Bay in preparation for the construction of a new dock and barge landing ramp. The proposed work would permanently impact 6.7 acres below the ordinary high-water mark (OHWM) from the placement of 86,834 cy of fill into Roadhouse Bay within Iliamna Lake. The proposed work would include the installation of twelve 24-inch diameter steel piles to support a removable 2,800 square foot (ft) floating dock.
