The Real Estate Division provides planning, acquisition, appraisal, management and disposal services for the Department of the Army.

It operates as the real estate agent for all Department of the Army properties and land associated with USACE civil works projects. The team maintains the authority to grant usage of Army land in Alaska, including the Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project in North Pole. Through a divestiture program, they also dispose of Army lands in the state.

Furthermore, real estate executes Department of Defense executive agent responsibilities by leasing and managing recruitment facilities for Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Army National Guard, Air National Guard and Coast Guard in Alaska.  As with the Army, the branch provides the land use services in support of civil works projects and offers reimbursable services to other government agencies.

During national emergencies and disasters, real estate supports mobilized response teams and overall relief efforts through the delivery of alternate housing and administrative or warehouse space, as well as industrial facilities and essential land-use permits.
