Anchorage Field Office closed

Published July 15, 2014

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Alaska District Regulatory field office in Anchorage is closed.

The office opened in February 2009 but could not continue to operate because of staff reductions and budgetary constraints.

“Although we are losing the convenience of an offsite location, we still can be available to meet with the public at the federal building or other locations in town,” said Terri Stinnett-Herczeg, chief of the Regulatory Division. “Our commitment to serving our customers has not changed.”

The Corps continues to provide service to Anchorage through the main office located on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, which is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Regulatory Division can be reached by phone at 907-753-2712, email at regpagemaster@usace.army.mil or U.S. mail at P.O. Box 6898, JBER, AK 99506-0898.

For information about permit applications, jurisdictional determinations in federally-regulated waters and wetlands, permit evaluations, resolving violations, and public outreach activities for construction work in waters and wetlands, visit the Corps regulatory Web site at http://www.poa.usace.army.mil/reg
