Homer Harbor Draft Feasibility Study
Homer’s Port and Harbor is a regional facility serving the needs of commercial vessels operating across southcentral and western Alaska in the maritime industrial, marine transportation, and commercial fishing industries. Over time, demand has outgrown the current facility’s ability to serve this fleet safely and efficiently with both commercial and recreational use of the harbor increasing over the last several years. Severe congestion, inadequate space for mooring and inability to provide access for large vessels are among the problems the Homer Harbor is experiencing.
