WHAT: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District will host a media availability session to:
• Provide a general status update and path forward for the Pebble Project Environmental Impact Statement;
• Explain applicable regulatory authorities, processes and milestones.
WHO: Participants representing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District are Shane McCoy, program manager for the Pebble Project EIS, and John Budnik, public affairs specialist for the Public Affairs Office.
WHEN: January 8 at 11 a.m. (Alaska Standard Time)
WHY: The goal of this information session is to facilitate understanding of the Corps’ regulatory roles and responsibilities. Currently, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District is preparing the Pebble Project Environmental Impact Statement.
