JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON --
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District is available to answer Regulatory program permitting questions at the Matanuska-Susitna Borough’s one-stop permit center beginning Thursday, April 6.
The permit center is located upstairs in the Dorothy Swanda Jones Building, 350 E. Dahlia Ave., Palmer.
Regulatory staff will be on-site every Thursday throughout the season. While not necessary, appointments can be scheduled based on staff availability.
To schedule a meeting with USACE at the Mat-Su Borough’s office, call 907-753-2712, prior to Thursday’s office hours. USACE increased its public availability to improve the quality of service provided to the local community.

Residents planning a project that may require a permit to discharge fill into waters of the U.S., including wetlands, are encouraged to consult with USACE to discuss permitting needs, the permit process and/or drop off an application.
All correspondence may be mailed to: USACE, Regulatory Division, P.O. Box 6898, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, AK 99506; emailed to email@example.com; or dropped off with a Regulatory specialist during office hours.
