Mr. Ethan Berto (Ketchikan Dock Company, LLC) stated the purpose is to reconfigure Berth IV so that it can accommodate larger cruise ships, which are expected to require docking facilities in Ketchikan in 2019.
The project site is located within Section 25, T. 75 S., R. 90 E., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map Ketchikan B-5; Latitude 55.3442º N., Longitude 131.6567º W.; in Ketchikan, Alaska.
The proposed project would be the seventh modification to the original permit and would be for the replacement of the current Berth IV with a larger facility. A complete Project Description is enclosed. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-7), dated October 30, 2017.
