ASRC Civil Construction, LLC's stated purpose is to expand the existing gravel pit to procure enough gravel to support the Golovin Airport Improvement Project. The project site is located at Latitude 64.56243º N., Longitude 163.01172º W.; from the Golovin Airport head north for approximately one mile on Nichols Street and the gravel pit is on the east side of the road near Golovin, Alaska. Excavate a 300 foot by 300 foot area (2.1 acres) in palustrine wetlands at the north end of the gravel pit to extract 30,000 cubic yards (cy) of gravel. The Material would be processed and stockpiled within the pit until hauled to project sites. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-3), dated July 11, 2017.
