Mr. Cecil Connor (General Manager, Arctic Gold Mining, LLC) stated the purpose is commercial production of gold.
The project site is located within Section 23, T. 11 S., R. 34 W., Kateel River Meridian; Latitude 64.5168º N., Longitude 165.4168º W.; in Nome, Alaska.
The applicant proposes to discharge 105,000 cubic yards of topsoil, 857,000 to 1,221,500 cubic yards of overburden and 270,000 cubic yards of pay material into 46.6 acres of waters of the U.S., in association with placer mining activities at the Queen’s Bench mining project. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-5), dated August 28, 2017.
