The project site is located within Section 23, T. 75 S., R. 90 E., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map Ketchikan B-6; Latitude 55.3532º N., Longitude 131.7025º W.;, near Ketchikan, Alaska.

PROPOSED WORK: This authorization would permit the Gravina Island Heavy Freight Mooring Facility, a component of the Gravina Access Project. The other authorizations are being reviewed under separate actions and consist of upgrades to the Revillagigedo Island Ferry Berth (POA-2017-466), Gravina Island Ferry Berth (POA-2017-467), Gravina Island Layup Dock replacement (POA-2017-467), and the Seley Road upgrades (POA-2000-452). The proposed work consists of placing five four-pile breasting dolphins using 20 30-inch piles, a new pile supported pedestrian walkway, a new pile supported mooring line structure (atop existing fill and above the HTL), and a new three-pile mooring dolphin using one 24-inch pile and two 18-inch piles. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 13-16), dated March 17, 2017.
