Mr. Brett Nelson, with DOT&PF, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, AK 99709, states that the project purpose is to provide a safer runway for the community of Kotlik. Work being proposed includes the placement of 37,650 cubic yards of clean fill material permanently impacting 3.0 acres of wetlands and temporarily impacting 11.0 acres of wetlands to: provide a staging area, waste disposal area, temporary access road, rehabilitate the segmented circle road and pad, and replace a culvert. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-2), dated July 30, 2018. The project site is located within Section 25,36, T. 28 S., R. 26 W., Kateel River Meridian; USGS Quad Map St Michael A-3; Latitude 63.0305º N., Longitude 163.5327 º W. in Kotlik, Alaska.
