Glacier Oil and Gas Company, 601 West 5th Avenue, Suite 310, Anchorage, Alaska  99501, states that the purpose is to expand the Badami Oil Field to include up to 10 wells.  Work being proposed is to excavate a 9.2-acre gravel pit in wetlands and discharge 38,000 cubic yards of the overburden into 2.0-acres of adjacent wetlands.  To discharge 161,300 cubic yards of fill material from the new gravel pit into 12.75-acres of wetlands to construct an 800-foot long access road and pad for 10 new oil wells.  To discharge 810 cubic yards of a sand/slurry mix into 0.02-acres of wetlands to construct a 2.5-mile pipeline from the new pad to an existing oil production facility.  The road surface would be 36-feet wide with a minimum depth of 5-feet at centerline and 2:1 side slopes.  Culverts would be installed to maintain natural drainage patterns.  The gravel pad surface would be 660-feet by 660-feet with a variable depth of 5- to 7-feet and 2:1 side slopes.  The pipeline would be constructed aboveground on one or two (8-inch to 24-inch diameter each) vertical support members spaced approximately 55 to 60 feet apart.  The project site is located near Latitude 70.13155º N., Longitude 147.0089º W.; North Slope Borough; inland 1.3 miles from Mikkelsen Bay and approximately 34 miles east of Deadhorse, Alaska.  Please contact Jason Brewer at (907) 753-2823, toll free from within Alaska at (800) 478-2712, by fax at (907) 753-5567, or by email at Jason.D.Brewer@usace.army.mil if further information is desired concerning this notice.
