Mr. Ronald Nordquist states that the project purpose is to block the new channel that the river has cut, which is eroding the applicant’s property, in order to prevent additional bank erosion. Work being proposed includes the placement of twelve 2-feet x 2-feet x 6-Feet concrete blocks and discharge approximately 66.7 cubic yards of river rock fill material into 0.008 acre five feet from the main channel of the Copper River, and discharge approximately 100 cubic yards of fill material into 0.03 acre of back channel along the applicant’s property in order to stabilize the bank of the Copper River and prevent further erosion at the applicant’s property. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-4), dated March 10, 2019. The project site is located on Cordova Avenue, Lot 6, Block 6, Copperville Subdivision #1, at Latitude 62.076933o N, Longitude: 145.415668o W, within Copperville, Alaska.
