Box 33835, Juneau, Alaska 99803, states that the project purpose is to construct a building pad and parking/staging area for vehicles and construction materials. Work being proposed includes: to develop five adjacent lots composed of wetlands to provide a building pad, parking area, and equipment storage area. The work would include the excavation of 1,500 cubic yards (CY) of organic overburden that would be disposed of at a permitted organic waste site. The excavated area measuring 208 feet x 200 feet would be back filled with 2,000 CY of crushed stone/shotrock, 2,000 CY of sand and gravel, and 500 CY of crushed stone/D1 grading course. During construction, an oil/water separator would be installed at the stormwater discharge point on the subject property to capture any contaminants resulting from any unplanned fuel/oil leaks or spills. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-4), dated January, 2020.
