A-1 Lawn & Landscaping, 6727 Old Seward Highway, Anchorage AK, 99518, states that the project purpose is to operate a topsoil pit, snow dump, and process recycle green waste into compost. Work being proposed includes, to excavate 6,075 cubic yards (CY) of overburden and vegetation and excavate 49,680 CY of organic material (peat) from 3.2 acres of wetlands to a depth of 8 feet to process as topsoil on site with a soil screening plant. Fill in the excavation with class c type fill material (rock and gravel) from outside sources. Create a settling pond for drainage, create berms around perimeter of property to contain drainage from snow dump. The project site is located within Section 18, T. 12 N., R. 3 W., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map Anchorage A-8 SW; Latitude 61.128º N., Longitude 149.876º W.; Maui Industrial Park, Tract 3 Lots 3, 4, and 5; located off of Olive Lane in Anchorage, Alaska.
