Mr. Greg Schlachter, with Front Street LLC, states that the project purpose is to expand the current pad for marine vessel storage and maintenance. Work being proposed includes to discharge 14,295 cubic yard of 12-inch minus material and 400 cubic yards of coarse shot rock into 0.72 acres of intertidal area below the High Tide Line (HTL) 21.2 feet above the Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) 0.00-foot contour of Portage Cove, a navigable water of the U.S., in order to expand existing vessel storage/maintenance operations. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-5), dated July 23, 2020. The project site is located within Section 35, T. 30 S., R. 59 E., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map Skagway A-2, Haines Townsite, Block 21; Lots 17-19, at the intersection of North Front Street and Union Street, in Haines, Alaska.
