Tanaku Lodge (Mr. James Benton) states the purpose is to provide safe and reliable navigation and moorage of small recreational vessel at the Tanaku Lodge. To dredge 420 cubic yards of marine sediment from the seafloor adjacent to an existing moorage float to a depth of minus 8-feet mean low low water. The applicant is proposing in-water disposal of the dredged material at the Port Althorp Dredge Disposal Area. The proposed dredging would take place at the same time as a planned Civil Works Program dredging project by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) in the vicinity of this project. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-4), dated January 2023. The project site is located within Section 25, T. 42 S., R. 55 E., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map MT Fairweather A1 and A-2; Latitude 58.1939º N., Longitude -136.3494º W.
