***PUBLIC NOTICE TIME EXTENSION***

On November 28, 2011, the Alaska District Corps of Engineers published a Public Notice for Department of the Army (DA) permit number POA-2005-97, Knik Arm, for a DA permit application from Knik Arm Bridge and Toll Authority (KABATA), for the Knik Arm Crossing's discharge of fill into waters of the U.S. to provide structural fill for construction of the approach roads and bridge abutments. The proposed project site is located in and adjacent to the upper Knik Arm of Cook Inlet, within Sections 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, T. 14 N., R. 4 W., S.M. and Section 31, T. 14 N., R. 3 W.; and Sections 6 and 7, T. 13 N., R. 3 W., Seward Meridian; USGS Quad Maps Anchorage B-8 SW and Anchorage A-8 NW; between the northwestern edge of the Port MacKenzie District and Anchorage, Alaska.

At the request of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the public notice comment period has been further extended to a total of 60 days, i.e., January 27, 2012.
