AIDEA’s stated purpose is to reduce heating fuel costs and improve air quality within Interior Alaska and the Fairbanks North Star Borough (FNSB) by making a supply of liquefied natural gas available on the North Slope of Alaska for overland transportation to the FNSB, to meet residential, commercial, and industrial demands. PROPOSED WORK: Discharge 90,714 cubic yards of clean, unconsolidated local source gravel fill material into 4.19 acres of North Slope tundra wetlands. The total area of fill impacts in wetlands would increase from the currently permitted 11.52 acres, to 15.71 acres. Comments must be submitted to Mr. Harry A.
