Arctic Village Council's stated purpose is to provide improved access to a game overlook, subsistence hunting, foraging and wood gathering areas. The proposed project involves the placement of 15,400 cubic yards of gravel fill material in approximately 3.90 acres of wetlands for the improvement of four miles of the John Lake Road. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-14), dated October, 2012.
