Purpose of project is to ensure that the Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC) Bridge 252.5 and track do not wash out during future storm events. The project would reestablish the stream channel, restore water flow under the ARRC Bridge, maintain sediment transport capacity, and reduce sediment accumulation to maintain the safety and integrity of the railroad.
