    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District published the final environmental impact statement for the Pebble Limited Partnership’s application to discharge fill material into waters of the United States for the purpose of developing a copper-molybdenum-gold mine project in the Bristol Bay region of Alaska.

A portion of the arena was converted into an alternate care site capable of treating coronavirus patients.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that it has begun the orderly shutdown of all USACE-managed campgrounds to protect against the further spread of coronavirus disease 2019. Visitor centers, beaches, special events, and USACE-sponsored events such as shore sweeps, interpretive programs, Kids to Parks Day, Earth Day events, public meetings and other public gatherings at all USACE-managed sites and facilities have also been closed and/or put on hold until further notice.  
  • Corps submits Unalaska report to Congress for authorization

    Today, Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite, commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and 54th U.S. Army Chief of Engineers, signed the Unalaska (Dutch Harbor) Channels Chief’s Report in Washington, D.C. The signing progresses the proposed project to Congress for authorization.
