  • Corps hosts virtual public meeting for Talkeetna flood risk reduction study

    Representatives for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District will host a virtual public meeting Wednesday, April 7, from 6:30 – 8 p.m. for anyone interested in learning about the Talkeetna Flood Risk Reduction Study. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and submit comments throughout the presentation.
  • Corps submits Elim harbor report to Congress for authorization

    Lt. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon, commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and 55th U.S. Army Chief of Engineers, signed the Elim Subsistence Harbor Chief’s Report during a special event in Washington, D.C. this month. The signing progresses the proposed project to Congress for authorization.
  • General visits northernmost USACE-run flood control project

    Maj. Gen. William H. Graham, deputy commanding general of civil and emergency operations for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, visited the Moose Creek Dam on Feb. 19 while touring the organization’s northernmost flood control project. Col. Kirk Gibbs, USACE Pacific Ocean Division commander, and Col. Damon Delarosa, USACE Alaska District commander, accompanied the general.
  • Corps hosts virtual public outreach for new North Slope Regional General Permit

    Representatives for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District will host a virtual public meeting Wednesday, March 24, at 2 p.m. for anyone interested in learning about the newly issued North Slope of Alaska Regional General Permit, also known as RGP-05. The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and submit comments via the chat feature.
