PURPOSE: The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities' stated purpose is to discharge fill into waters of the
United States (U.S.), including wetlands, to rehabilitate, restore, and resurface a 17-mile segment of the Dalton Highway
between MP 362 – 379.
PROPOSED WORK: The applicant proposes to discharge approximately 340, 00 cubic yards (cy) of fill material into 74.75 acres
of waters of the U.S. to conduct road improvements to the Dalton Highway MP 362-379 and develop two gravel pits. The
proposed work also includes temporary impacts to 70.56 acres of wetlands and the discharge of fill into 38 acres of the
Sagavanirktok River for the development of a material site. All work would be performed in accordance with the plans (sheets
