  • POA-2012-876, Tina Lake

    Expiration date: 4/12/2013

    Arcticorp Incorporated's stated purpose is to construct a new snow disposal site. The site would also be used for temporary storage of equipment and materials when space is available during the snow-free season. A potential future use of the project site is a public roadway. The footprint of the proposed project overlaps with the footprint of the West Dowling Road Connection Project sponsored by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOTPF). Planning documents indicate the West Dowling Road project would involve filling the north part of Tina Lake and associated wetlands. At this time the ADOTPF does not own or control the planned roadway across Tina Lake or any property within the footprint of the proposed snow disposal site project. The applicant proposes to discharge approximately 14,100 cubic yards (cy) of clean fill into 1.27 acres of wetlands and 1.62 acres of Tina Lake to extend the property gravel pad and provide additional snow disposal capacity.   • POA-2012-875, Prudhoe Bay

    Spectrum Alaska, LLC's stated purpose is to construct, own, and operate a liquefied natural gas production plant. The applicant proposes the placement of 82,000 cubic yards of clean gravel fill into 10.77 acres of jurisdictional wetlands for the construction of a 800’ x 520’ gravel pad; two driveways, one 50’ x 166’ and the other 50’ x 580’; and a 1,085’ pipeline on 43 VSMs spaced 25’ apart in order to develop a LNG production plant and infrastructure.   • POA-2012-180, Norton Sound

    Expiration date: 4/11/2013

    The City of Nome proposes to add additional dock moorage and a Roll on/Roll off (RORO) ramp for loading and off-loading activities. The RORO would have an accessible ramp at elevations of +6.5 feet and would be designed to carry wheeled cargo on and off the vessel on their own wheels. The dock would be located between the West Gold Dock and the City Dock at the Port of Nome's Outer Harbor. It would be designed to add container storage close to the RORO ramp and to allow berthing of the large barges without significantly encroaching into the navigational channel. The proposed project would require the placement of 53,000 cubic yards of fill in approximately 1.45 acres of intertidal and subtidal waters. The project would also require the excavation of 13,800 cubic yards of armor and sandy/gravelly material from approximately 1.14 acres of intertidal and subtidal waters.

  • POA-2011-73, Fairbanks Creek_APMA 9977

    Expiration date: 4/12/2013

    Paul & Company's stated purpose is to remove frozen overburden and mine the pay gravel below. The applicant proposes to mine 8.6 acres of palustrine forested wetlands on a north-facing slope, south of Fairbanks Creek. Total discharge of fill at any one time would be 115,000 cubic yards (cy) including: 100,000 cy overburden and 15,000 cy pay material. Mining cuts would be 500’ x 150’. First cut overburden would be stockpiled in previously disturbed areas within valley. For each new cut the overburden would be placed in the previous cut. All processing of material would take place in the previously disturbed claims in the valley.
