    Mr. Ralph Beardsworth stated purpose is to construct a single-family residence and driveway. Mr. Ralph Beardsworth is proposing to discharge 414 cubic yards of fill material into waters of the United States in order to construct a fill pad for a house. A total of 0.10 acre of rocky, intertidal wetlands, between the high tide line (HTL) of 19.4 feet and mean high water (MHW) (14.4 feet) would be filled. Neither the HTL nor the MHW were located by survey methods. Public utilities would be utilized for water and sewer. The work is described on the enclosed drawings (Figures 1-4).     On November 15, 2013, the Alaska District Corps of Engineers published a 30-day Public Notice (PN) for Department of the Army (DA) permit number POA-1994-1014, ORCA INLET, for a DA permit application from the Native Village of Eyak (NVE), to construct an oil spill response facility at Shepard Point to include the construction of a deep water draft pile supported dock, boat launch, and a new 4.5‐mile road connecting Shepard Point to the existing road system and all‐weather municipal airport in Cordova, Alaska. The starting point of the proposed project is located approximately 0.4-miles from the end of Orca Cannery Road in Cordova, Alaska, at Latitude 60.3441º N., Longitude 145.4312º W. The end point of the proposed project is located at Shepard Point, which is located at Latitude 60.3752º N., Longitude 145.4010º W. The proposed location of the deep water port, staging area, and boat launch is located approximately 7 miles northeast of Cordova, at Shepard Point. The 4.5‐mile‐long road to Shepard Point is proposed to be located in Sections 1, 2,10, and 11, T. 15 S., R. 3 W., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map CORDOVA C-5; near western Prince William Sound and Cordova, Alaska. The purpose of this revised PN is to extend the public notice comment period by 30 calendar days from the expiration date of the previous PN. Comments on the described work, with the reference number, should reach this office no later than the expiration date of this revised PN to become part of the record and be considered in the decision. .   • POA-2013-565, Chilkat River

    On November 1, 2013, the Alaska District Corps of Engineers published a Public Notice for Department of the Army (DA) permit number POA-2013-565, Chilkat River for a DA permit application from Mr. John Floreske Jr., to discharge 1,437 cubic yards of fill material into 0.34 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands to construct 3 helipads each 59 feet long by 59 feet wide with 3 approach-ways each 39 feet long by 59 feet wide. The project site is located within Section 8, T. 30 S., R. 58 E., Copper River Meridian; USGS Quad Map Skagway B-2; Latitude 59.282º N., Longitude 135.678º W.; Milepost 10 Haines Highway; near Haines, Alaska. The comment period for the Public Notice has been extended for an additional 15 days in order for members of the public and other interested parties to consider and evaluate the impacts of this proposed activity.     Mr. Jim Taro's stated purpose is to create additional mooring and protect the area from waves. PROPOSED WORK: Proposes to add a 12-foot by 50-foot dock onto the existing dock, and construct a 10-foot by 220-foot breakwater secured with four 10,000 pound steel Danforth anchors below the mean high water of Tongass Narrows. All work would be performed in accordance with the enclosed plan (sheets 1-5), dated October 30, 2013.   • POA-2013-558, Beluga Lake

    Expiration date: 12/26/2013

    Mr. Peter Fefelov'S stated purpose is to construct a storage yard for storage of boats, trucks, vans, commercial equipment, fishing equipment, and construction equipment. Proposed work is to place 3,000 cubic yards (CY) of clay, 5,500 CY of pit run gravel, and 1,500 CY of 1 ½ inch minus gravel into 1.7 acres of waters of the U.S., including wetlands. In addition, a 50 foot by 80 foot building would be constructed on the proposed fill and a 20 foot by 50 foot sediment pond would be constructed at the northwest corner of the lot. All vegetative material would be cleared off the property and disposed of at a gravel pit on Kenai Peninsula Parcel number 165-250-64.
